Night Nest: Create a Soothing Space for Your Nights

Birds need safe places to nest... just like you do during wakeful nights. Your Night Nest creates a safe place to wait, nurture, and renew until sleep returns with its dream morsels.

Start by creating your soothing insomnia environment—straighten papers and clothes monsters (dirty laundry on the floor). Find a spot near your insomnia bed or chair and place your Night Nest stash—items that soothe your eyes, ears, body, and heart as you lay awake. Generate an aura of night-comfort to help your Unconscious Mind expand its creative, healing, and restorative self.

My Night Nest stash stays under my bed. In a blue-and-white flowered hat box my mother sent me decades ago (I’ve never owned a hat that large, go figure), I have goodies that soothe me at 3 AM: pillows, lip balm, a water bottle, dim lights to read or write, a white-noise machine, and a picture of the ocean waves are at my fingers, ready to comfort me. That way I don't have to gallivant through the house to find what I need.

Your Night Nest can include your items for basic comfort, soft lights, writing and reading objects, soothers, and special talismans. Make it fit your desires and personality. You can find Creative Insomnia Night Nest soothers here.

Night Nests are parts of the Creative Insomnia program. You’ll transform your insomnia as you nestle in your nights. Email me today to learn how to create a healing night space. We can work by phone or in person.
