The Essence of Creative Insomnia
I love to sleep. I love stretching out on smooth sheets, reading by a dimmed lamp, nestling into my pillow. I love waking to the new sensation of possibility and promiseyesterday’s irritations banished.
No surprise then that I hated the insomnia that gripped me several years ago. For months I laid awake in the middle of the night. I hated the rumpled sheets, the hazy dark, the flattened pillow. I hated the continual thinking, watching the clockor trying not to watch the clock. I hated rising in the morning with an irritable empty tank, dreading a day of doing when I longed to be in bed, asleep.
Still that insomnia led me to discover new blessings in the dark. Surprises that taught me to befriend the night, befriend myself, and spend my after-insomnia days refreshed and renewed. Maybe not as refreshed and renewed as I could have been after a good night's sleep (did I mention that I love to sleep?) but ready for the day.
During those long nights I developed the Creative Insomnia program and techniques to balance my night-mind. I learned how to rest my Conscious Mind (which drives the day) and let my Unconscious Mind (which steers my night-raft when I sleep) lead me to dreamy places, even while awake.
Balancing your night-mind is part of the Creative Insomnia program. You'll transform your insomnia and uncover benefits in your waking nightseven if you love to sleep. Email me today to learn how to turn insomnia from hell to healing. We can work by phone or in person.
